We’re down the home stretch of BIG3, and not a lot has been settled.

Only the 3 Headed Monsters and Aliens have made it through the first five weeks with just a loss, while there are only five teams overall above .500.

There are a crush of clubs sitting at 2-3, including the Triplets (more on their plight below).

The Ball Hogs are the lone 1-4 team, but they’re still not out of it yet , thought they’ll be in tough to find their way into the postseason.

Let’s sort out the Week 6 slate, and share some of our favorite picks.

3 Headed Monsters vs Tri-State

Kevin Murphy is getting his shine in BIG3. After a 4-year college career at Tennessee Tech, and just a single NBA season on his resume, he’s making his impact now.

He’s currently the league’s leading scorer, pumping in 25.2 points per contest, leading the Monsters to a tie for the league’s best record with the Aliens.

Last time out, he dropped 22 points, adding four rebounds and four dimes, drilling a pair of 4-point bombs to knock off the Triplets 50-44 . He did have some help too: Quincy Miller poured in 21 points, including five three-pointers to keep pace with his teammate.

Tri-State is not an easy out. Their three-game win streak was snapped in Week 5, dropping a 51-46 decision to Trilogy, a game they led by 10 at half. Jason Richardson had 17 points and eight boards, while Justin Dentmon added 14 of his own.

They are prone to big-bucket performances, as Isaiah Briscoe lit them up for 27 points last week. Look for Murphy to do much of the same Sunday, with plus-odds to boot.

Pick: Monsters +2.5 (-118)

Triplets vs Ghost Ballers

Heading into the year, this would likely have been circled as a potential game of the week. Alas, we’ve got two sub-.500 clubs, both losers of three straight, and desperate to get back into the win column.

The Triplets’ path to success is as simple as Joe Johnson returning to the lineup, which is still up in the air. Out the last two weeks due to unspecified personal reasons, the Triplets have faltered. To be fair, they have been in both contests, with just not enough juice to get past the finish line.

In Week 4, they dropped a 50-46 decision to previously winless Bivouac, before dropping a close 50-44 decision to the 3 Headed Monsters. They delivered a balanced attack in the loss, with Ryan Hollins leading the team with 14 points, eight boards and three assists. The Pargo brothers scored 12 apiece, with Jannero drilling four three-balls.

As for the Ghost Ballers, they are coming off a 50-36 drubbing at the hands of the 3’s Company, who had just a win on the season. It was a major off night for stars Mike Taylor and Chris Johnson, who were each averaging better than 16 points per game, but combined to score just 13.

Jermain Taylor was the lone bright light, hitting five threes en route to a 21-point performance.

Even with Iso Joe returning, there’s a strong bounce-back brewing from the Ghosts’ stars, enough to make this a closer contest than expected.

Pick: Ghost Ballers +4.5 (-110)

Power vs Aliens

Is there a more complete team than the Aliens?

They feature a trio of European stars that cut their teeth while playing on the FIBA 3×3 circuit: captain Dusan Bulut, and co-captains Karlis Lasmanis and Tomislav Ivosev. Coupled with 6-foot-8 Deshawn Stephens, they have looked mighty impressive through five weeks.

Aliens hammered the Ball Hogs 50-37 in Week 5, though it was a close one until Ball Hogs’ Leandro Barbosa left with a leg injury and didn’t return. Stephens paced the way with 18 points and seven rebounds, but he had plenty of help. Bulut had 15 points, eight boards and seven assists, while Ivosev had 12 points, nine rebounds and two assists.

Power is going to need better everything, following their 50-43 loss to Bivouac, who had just one win on the campaign. Glen Rice Jr was the only player to cross double digits with 14 points. Royce White did have eight points, nine boards and nine assists, while Cat Mobley chipped in with nine points of his own on three three-pointers.

Defensively, they allowed Gerald Green and Corey Brewer to combine for 37 points. How Power handle an even better-rounded offensive group should determine the winner. It doesn’t look good.

Pick: Aliens -7.5 (-114)
